  Tonight was my second night there after my wife discovered it yesterday on one of her walks. Definitely enjoyed the atmosphere: very nice mixed crowd, obviously locals, but welcoming to strangers. The three bartenders on duty on a Friday night (Sharon, Lindsay and Lizzy) were very nice.
  
  No food service, so unless all you want is a packet of crisps, you'll need to have dinner before or after

  Ronseal would be proud: The Stewart Arms say's it's a pub, and that's exactly what it is! No gastro-pub ponce here!
  Whilst this feels like a local pub, people are actually really friendly.
  It's nothing special to look at, but the drinks are reasonably priced, they have a dart board and a pool table, and if you're hungry they will order you Topps Pizza if you ask at the bar! Although they don't have capacity for their own food there (so don't expect a Sunday lunch).
  They also have a jukebox  so you can choose the music you want to hear  and this isn't too loud, so you can actually hear people talking!
  The decor is a little dated, but this is an honest, down to earth pub, off the green (so no drunken Aussies), which is quiet and relaxed enough to have a nice night with friends, not pretentious
  They also apparently have live music every now and then, and they will also screen the footie if you're into that. We are just into the darts!
